XLP Partnership

David Phillips has been working with The eXcel Project (XLP) since 2019, during this time we’ve provided 853 days of paid work experience in various roles from operations to design – we’ve even got XLP graduates working at the company to this day! We’re actively supporting XLP in organising a charity football match in the summer of 2023 and have worked with Macron Sports to donate some football kits for the players.

XLP operates in London working with 4,000 young people each year through education, mentoring, employability, community youth work, sports and the arts.

Tree planting at Cambridge City Football Club

Charlie Whinney (Chief Financial Officer) and Thaisa Cowin (Account Manager) worked with Cambridge City FC to plant 400 trees following our priorities to offset our emissions and be carbon neutral. We’re passionate about sustainability and hope the planting of these trees will benefit the local community and engage people to get involved in helping the planet.

“The donation from David Phillips was greatly appreciated and allowed us to complete the landscaping for the stadium build. The community planting day we hosted brought together lots of people from the village.” – Alice Dewey, General Manager of Cambridge City FC.
