Fairley Court
Fairley Court was staged as a 2-Bedroom Show Apartment in a new build complex. The Client wanted a high-end boutique feel that appealed to First Time Buyers, also asking us to advise on wall treatments.
The overall design plays into a Retro/Mid Century feel, working with bold wallpaper designs that draw the eye round the property giving the Show Home immediate character. These feature walls are complimented with quirky gallery walls which means there isn’t a dull corner in the scheme.
We wanted to bring as much of the outside in as possible and the Retro/Mid Century style offers the perfect palette of earthy greens, walnuts and beiges to do this.
In the Reception area the wall treatments play a key role in helping to zone the spaces, easily transitioning from a relaxing lounging area to cooking and dining. Working with a smaller palette pulls the whole scheme together and offers consistency between spaces.
While the wall finishes allow each room to take on a personality of their own, a mixture of textures and thoughtfully chosen key furniture pieces are also used throughout this scheme. Rattan, woods, glass and in particular plush velvets in the bedrooms to create Boutique oases of calm that still acknowledge the quirky feel of the rest of the apartment.
Small tricks of the trade were quietly key in this design such as well-placed mirrors, adding in glass dining and coffee tables to open up the space, inviting in light and allowing other design aspects to talk more loudly, creating a cohesive, fun and homely space that appeals to First Time Buyers.
